Day 1: ARRIVAL TO KAZAN

Morning arrival to Kazan by train from Moscow

City tour around Kazan. The tour includes the most famous sights of Kazan: the Old Tatar Settlement, Marjani Mosque, the Kazan University, Kazan Millennium Park, a Tatar village Tugan Avylym in the city center, Ekiyat puppet theater, Liberty Square, Kazan Family Сenter, Millenium Bridge, Kazan Arena Stadium.

13:30 – 14:30 Lunch at the local restaurant

After lunch you’ll visit Kazan Kremlin. You will see the Spassky tower, leaning tower Syuyumbike, government buildings, visit the Kul-Sharif Mosque and the Cathedral of the Annunciation. You will be delighted with the beauty of the architecture and fascinated by interesting stories that will tell you professional tour guide. The route will stop for beautiful memorable photographs.

17:00 – 18:00 Walking along Kremlevskaya Nebereznaya - the Kazanka river embankment,Agricultural Palace (outside view).

Transfer to hotel, check in and overnight at hotel 3*-4*

Day 2: SVIYAZHSK HALF DAY – KAZAN HALF DAY (B/ L)

09:00-14:00 tour to the UNESCO Island Town of Sviyazhsk with the stop at the “Temple of all Religions” (outside view).

Sviyazhsk is located at the confluence of the Volga and Sviyaga Rivers. The distance from Kazan to Sviyazhsk is about 60 km. Sviyazhsk was founded in 1551 as a fortress which was built within 4 weeks. It became a military base of the Russian army during the siege of Kazan in 1552. Now it’s historical and cultural gem of the Republic of Tatartan. The complex of city buildings includes the works of Ivan Shiryaj and Postnik Yakovlev, who is well known as one of the builders of Saint Basil's Cathedral on Red Square in Moscow. Picturesque nature, surrounding shallow, waters of bays attracted people since the ancient times.The Temple of All Religions is one of the most unusual tourist attractions of Kazan. It is an architectural symbiosis of various religions, civilizations and cultures. This temple, also sometimes called the Universal Temple, or the International Cultural Center of Spiritual Unity, is located in the Staroye Arakchino Microdistrict, right by the side of the Volga River.

17:00 – 19:00 Visit to Arysh Mae shop, local market

Day 3: BOLGAR FULL DAY (B/ L)Breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant (buffet)Full day tour to the ancient city of Bolgar, the Northern Mecca. This ancient city is the historical homeland of the Tatars. Bolgar is the centre from which the spread of Islam on the territory of the Volga region began. The guide will tell you the legend of incredible beauty. Filled with secrets the story will be of interest to all travelers.

08:00 Meeting English-speaking guide at the hotel. Departure to Bolgar.11:30 Arrival to Bolgar. Bus stop near the White Mosque, the complex «Ak Mechet». It resembles as an incredible way of the Indian Taj Mahal by the forms. This mosque is the largest of the entire South-Western part of Tatarstan. Time for souvenirs.

12:00 – Lunch at the local Hala café “Ak Mechet”

13:00 – 16:00 Excursion around the Bolgar Museum-Preserve.

During a sightseeing tour around the Bolgar Museum-Preserve you can visit Bolgar ancient settlement, Museum of Bolgar Civilization, Sign of Islam. Also, you’ll see the ruins of the ancient city: the ruins of Cathedral Mosque with the Great Minaret, the Northern and Eastern Mausoleums, the Orthodox Church of St. Nikolay, the ruins of five baths, the Black Chamber and the ruins of the Khan’s Tomb.

Return to Kazan.
